How much does AI consulting cost?
Fixed-price bundles: Lite £150 for 4 hours, Plus £250 for 8 hours, Core £400 for 16 hours. Those are the published prices and they do not move. Bespoke custom builds are scoped after a free 30-minute discovery call, because the cost depends almost entirely on how many systems have to talk to each other — you get a fixed quote in writing before anything starts. Deposit up front, balance on delivery. No hourly billing, no scope-creep invoices.

What kind of problems do you actually solve with AI consulting?

What do I need to provide before we start?
A one-paragraph description of the problem in your own words. That is the entire prerequisite. If you have access to any relevant systems (website admin, CRM login, email tool, a sample of the data we will be working with) we can move faster in session, but we do not require a spec document, wireframes or a technical brief. You describe the problem, we handle the technical translation.
During sessions you are in the room over Zoom. Not as a passenger — we ask questions as we build, walk you through decisions in plain English, and hand you the keys as we go. If you get pulled away mid-session, we keep working and catch you up on the next call.
What do I own when the engagement ends?
Everything. Code lives in your GitHub. Databases live in your accounts. Any AI provider (OpenAI, Anthropic, etc.) is your subscription, so the credentials never sit with us. Training documents and prompt libraries are yours, exported to Google Drive or Notion. If you decide to switch to a different developer a year later, they have everything they need on day one.
We do not offer hosted-only deliverables. Nothing runs on infrastructure only we can access. There is no exit fee, no proprietary format, no lock-in. This is deliberate — it means we have to keep earning your repeat work, not rely on switching costs to keep you around.

How quickly can we start?
Usually within a week of your discovery call. Once we have agreed the scope and you have signed the bundle, we book the first working session and share a small brief for you to fill in. For Lite bundles, the whole 4 hours can be spent live in one afternoon; for Plus and Core we typically split across 2 to 4 sessions so you can react between them.
Do I need to know what AI can do before I book?
No. If you can describe the problem in plain English we can figure out whether AI is the right tool. Half of the value of a Lite bundle is the diagnosis: sometimes the answer is a chatbot, sometimes a workflow tool, sometimes a spreadsheet, sometimes nothing at all. We will tell you when AI is not the answer, and we will not sell you something you do not need.
Who owns what we build together?
You do. Every piece of code, every prompt, every training document, every integration configuration is handed to you at the end of the engagement. We recommend a GitHub or Google Drive folder that lives in your account so you retain access forever. There are no hosted-only deliverables and no vendor lock-in.
What if we run out of hours before the job is done?
You can top up in blocks of 4 hours at the same £/hour rate as your bundle. We give you a heads-up when you are 80 percent through your bundle so it is never a surprise, and we regularly recut the scope with you so effort matches the budget. If we over-scoped upfront, you are not on the hook for our mistake.
Do you offer ongoing support after the build?
Yes. Any monthly Admin, Botz or Light-touch retainer covers ongoing support and small changes. For larger custom builds we offer a monthly maintenance retainer that includes bug fixes, small feature additions and a monthly call. Alternatively you can pay ad-hoc from a fresh 4-hour bundle — no monthly commitment required.
